NES+

Designed specifically to produce building services specifications that meet the requirements of healthcare facilities

The healthcare version of NES, NES+, has been designed specifically to produce building services specifications that meet the specific requirements of healthcare facilities such as hospital wards, operating theatres, cold rooms and medical laboratories.

As with the Building Services version, NES+ is divided into comprehensive sections containing a vast library of clauses and schedules that can be used to create your healthcare compliant specification. You choose and insert relevant sections into your document to suit the exact requirements of your project.

  • Each section provides references to standards and other legislation providing a checklist that ensures nothing is missed in the specification.
  • Provides the basis of a QA system through inclusion of audit trails and standard formatting of sections.
  • Updated regularly to ensure the service includes latest changes to operating and maintenance manual clauses, legislation and standards, best practice and developments in technology.
  • Contains additional data specifically tailored to replace the old NHS Model Engineering Specification enabling the user to produce specifications that are healthcare complaint.

Subscribers to the NES+ benefit from all the existing features of the Building Services version as well as access to the healthcare specific content and guidance.

NES+ has been produced in conjunction with the Department of Health Estates and Facilities Management Department as a replacement to the Model Engineering Specification, which has now been archived as a working document.

The content of the healthcare version of NES has been written by specialist healthcare building services consultants to ensure the information provided is accurate and up to date.
