1984
Electrical Design Software developed for use with DOS operating system. Called ‘15th Edition Cable Sizing’

1989
‘15th Edition Cable Sizing’ developed to run on Microsoft Windows – proved an enormous success.

1992-96
A new graphical front end was added to the software which was now renamed ‘CableMaster’.
Amtech accredited to BS EN ISO 9001. The specialist quality scheme for IT and software companies.
Two new products introduced - ‘Protect’ for co-ordination studies and ‘SingleCable’ for quick single cable calculations.
PremierCare Amtech’s unique technical support service re-branded and re-launched.
Protect HV launched for HV and LV protection studies.

1997
‘PowerNet’ launched – powerful graphical short circuit analysis software.
Amtech Office suite launched containing complete suite of software packages for the engineer all in one box.
‘FastTest’ launched FastTest becomes the market leading electrical Test & Inspection software.

2002
AMTECH partners with Eaton Corporation and develops a NEC version of CableMaster and Protect.
CableMaster name changed to ProDesign to reflect the global market.
Office opened in Pittsburg USA to service North American customers.

2003
Range of ‘Mobile’ software developed for the Pocket PC platform to compliment its desktop products.

2005
elcoCAD added to the Amtech range - specialist electrical CAD software.
ProDesign has an elcoCAD compatible module developed. Projects can be exported direct to elcoCAD software.
FastTest Domestic launched to produce certificates that satisfy Part P of the Building Control regulations that became law in January 2005.
FastTest Domestic wins  Electrical Software Product of the Year award at the prestigious Electrical Industry Awards 2005.

2006
Mobile software range completely re-written and expanded to be compatible with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 operating system for Pocket PC’s.
Email facility added for mobile software.
Successful management buyout heralds a new era at Amtech. Amtech Power Software becomes part of the Amtech Group of companies.
GasCert launched. Range of Gas Safety Certificates for Gas Installers and M&E companies.
Pocket Zs software released for the Pocket PC.
New range of Domestic software released including, FastTest Domestic and ProDesign Domestic.

2007
Amtech ProG -  combined Gas & Electrical software suite released.
Amtech Group acquires Estimation group.
Amtech Office Domestic wins Electrical Software Product of the Year award at the prestigious Electrical Industry Awards 2007.

2008
AMTECHLive launched - powerful engineering software that can be used from any internet connected computer, from any location at any time Amtech Group acquires NES Specification Expert software Amtech Group acquires Trade Service Information Ltd, providers of Luckins data - the UK’s leading specialist in product and pricing data services.

2011
All companies in Amtech Group (Amtech Power Software, Estimation, TSI Luckins & NES) are re-branded under the single Amtech Group name.

2013
Amtech Group acquires ArtrA - a leading provider of Asset Lifecycle Management and Field BIM software.
BIMSphere is launched - a specialist BIM services division to provide software solutions and consultancy service to assist companies implement their BIM strategies.

2014
Trimble acquired Amtech Group. Trimble applies technology to make field and mobile workers in businesses and government significantly more productive. Solutions are focused on applications requiring position or location—including surveying, construction, agriculture, fleet and asset management, public safety and mapping. Amtech is now a Trimble company. 

2016
Amtech Group rebrands to Trimble MEP.
